James Cooper has extensive experience in all facets of golf and leisure facility management, ranging from pre-development planning to opening and ongoing management.

 

In addition to his experience as General Manager of leading golf facilities such as Novotel, Hyatt Regency Coolum - Golf, Pelican Waters and Laguna Quays - Golf, James was responsible for IMG’s Golf Course Management and Design Division in Australia. In this capacity he was responsible for the day to day operations of IMG’s managed facilities which included The Dunes, Moonah Links, Links Lady Bay and The Golf Club Kennedy Bay.

 

James’ intimate knowledge of the golf and leisure industry combined with his significant, broad-based, sports and entertainment background provide a perfect mix for a well-rounded analysis of new golf developments.

 

Richard was one of Australia's most exciting and talented junior golfers and was a prolific winner of NSW amateur events. He turned Professional in 1978 and played the Australasian Tour until 1985. He then decided to regain his amateur status to concentrate on running his very successful contract cleaning business. Richard now lives in Hawks Nest just north of Newcastle. His background in golf and knowledge of the game make him a perfect addition to the Wayne Grady Golf Design team.
